WHAT'S IN A NAME?

I've never been one to spend too much time nosing about on the computer (mainly because I'm not the most computer savvy girl out there) but over the past year or so I've discovered a few wonderful blogs that I found not only fun to read but also very inspirational and enlightening!  Who knew so many ladies (and I'm sure gents) out there were into most of which I am myself .... Vintage!  The styles, the hair, the films, the decor, and most of all the history!  Oh, and what a history it is!

So what IS in a name? Well half in reference to me and the other of which relates to  Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. The 1939 film is the fourth and final in a series starring Bonita Granville as Nancy Drew, girl detective. I grew up on these films and had a whopper of a crush on her 'boyfriend' played by Frankie Thomas.  Anyway there's a great scene where said boyfriend, Ned Nickerson, gets spooked and shouts "Black Cats Nancy!" I always found it very endearing and have used it ever since.

So this is a start to a quaint little web diary that will be a little of this and also a little of that; and of course a few kittys thrown in the mix.
